Volume of gov't purchases in Azerbaijan revealed

The total volume of public procurement in 2020 amounted to 6.567 billion manats (over $3.8 billion). Electronic procurement accounted for 930 million manats (over $547.3 million) of the total amount.

Report informs, citing Mammad Abbasbayli, deputy head of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.

According to him, the volume of public procurement increased by 14.8% in 2020 compared to 2019.

The share of state purchases through a tender amounted to 3.5 billion manats ($2.06 million), which shows an increase of 31.2%. According to the request for proposals, the volume of purchases amounted to over 1.23 billion manats (over $727.5 million), open tenders – over 1.22 billion manats (over $719.7 million), quotations - 111.5 million manats (over $65.6 million).
