Volume of cargo transportation by road up by almost 10% in Azerbaijan

In January-August 2023, over 3.508 million tons (9.7% more year-on-year), of cargo worth $7.832 billion (18.5% more YoY) were transported by road in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.

In the first eight months of 2023, 1.329 million (6.5% more YoY) tons of goods worth $1.192 billion (0.4% less YoY) were exported by road transport in Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, 2.178 million tons (11.7% more YoY) of goods worth $6.64 billion (22.7% more YoY) were imported by road transport.
