In January-July 2022, Azerbaijan imported 306.88 tons of turmeric for $406,160.
According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 16% more in value and 15.4% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, 169.23 tons (+72.4%) of turmeric were imported from Iran for $206,800 (76% more than a year earlier), from India - 134.72 tons (-14.6 %) for $181,100 (-9%), from Turkiye - 2.33 tons (-50%) for $17,330 (-40%), from the UAE – 600 kg for $840, from Italy – 10 kg for $90 (+80%) and Luxembourg – 10 kg for $10.
Two years and four months later, imports from the UAE were resumed.
