Turkmenistan approves joint commission with Azerbaijan

The composition of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani Joint Commission on Transport, Transit and Logistics from the Turkmen party was approved.

The corresponding Resolution was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting, Report informs, citing Turkmenistan's media.

Signing the document, the Head of State stressed the important role of this Commission in the implementation of major transport and logistics projects, transit and export potential of the two countries, the strengthening of cooperation between business communities, as well as the bonds of friendship and brotherhood of the Turkmen and Azerbaijani peoples.

The agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the establishment of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani Joint Commission on Transport, Transit and Logistics was signed on November 28, 2018 following the results of the working visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Ashgabat.
