Tesla CEO loses record $16.3 billion in six hours

Elon Musk, a co-founder of Tesla and SpaceX, lost $ 16.3 billion a day, failing his position among the world's five richest people, Report says, citing Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).

According to the rating, Musk's current fortune is $ 82.2 billion, which is the sixth-row. The agency notes that it is the largest daily decline in the history of the BBI.

Such a sharp drop in the billionaire's wealth was due to a significant decrease in Tesla shares. The stocks of the electric car manufacturer fell by 21.06% to $ 330.21 yesterday.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos topped the list with a fortune of $ 186 billion. Also in the top five are Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates ($ 121 billion), Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg ($ 103 billion), Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy president Bernard Arno ($ 85.5 billion), and investor Warren Buffett ($ 82.4 billion).
