Switzerland intends to continue supporting the diversification of the Azerbaijani economy, Erwin Bollinger, Head of the Department of Bilateral Economic Relations of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), said at the Azerbaijani-Swiss business forum in Baku, Report informs.
"In recent years, Switzerland has been actively investing in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan. We are aiming at developing bilateral trade relations and increasing investments," he noted.
Speaking at the event, Advisor to the Head of the Azerbaijani Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (AZPROMO) Zohrab Gadirov noted that hazelnuts occupy a special place in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports to Switzerland.
"We intend to expand cooperation with Switzerland. I invite Swiss companies to invest in Karabakh," Gadirov added.
