Baku is set to host the first meeting of the joint working group on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia in March, according to the Slovenian Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology (SPIRIT).
According to Report, the Slovenian business mission, organized by SPIRIT and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, will visit Baku from March 10 to 13. The mission will take place as part of the visit of Slovenia's Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Matjaž Han, to Azerbaijan.
The first meeting of the joint working group on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia will be held as part of the visit. The agenda also includes a business forum, B2B meetings, and informal negotiations.
"The main goal of the business mission is to introduce Slovenian companies to Azerbaijan's business environment, facilitate the establishment of business contacts, and conclude deals with Azerbaijani companies. We believe this will contribute to the development of trade and economic relations between Slovenia and Azerbaijan, as well as investment cooperation," stated the agency.
According to SPIRIT, Slovenia aims to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in various sectors, including the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, small hydropower plants, photovoltaic systems, ICT, infrastructure construction, electrical engineering industry, tourism, sports, and more.
