Sahib Mammadov: EU has invested more than $20 billion in Azerbaijan

The EU has invested more than $20 billion in projects in Azerbaijan over the past decade, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov said, according to Report.

He noted that Azerbaijan is an important partner of the European Union and one of the most attractive markets for European investors. Currently, more than 700 European companies are functioning in the country.

Mammadov noted that the EU remains one of the main foreign trade partners of Azerbaijan.

The Deputy Minister said that the EU accounted for a 44.8% share ($15.2 billion) in Azerbaijan's foreign trade and 54.49% ($25.23 billion) during January-October 2022.

"I would like to inform you with great satisfaction that cooperation with the EU is one of the main directions of our country's foreign policy. In the growing dynamics of relations between the parties, mutual visits, high-level meetings and an extensive legal framework are of particular importance, in addition, trade is one one of the main directions of our bilateral cooperation," Mammadov noted.
