It is necessary to unite efforts to increase the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia’s Astrakhan region, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov told journalists in Astrakhan, Report informs.
He said that one of the most important issues at the May 8 forum was the issue of developing cooperation and increasing trade between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan.
“In 2022, the trade turnover between us increased by more than 4 times. This does not quite correspond to our potential, but if we support efforts to increase trade exchange, we can achieve the desired results and succeed,” he said.
Alakbarov stressed that very serious proposals were put forward in the course of today’s discussions to promote cooperation in the field of tourism. “We have all the possibilities for their implementation. We can also achieve high results in the field of logistics,” he added.
The deputy minister of economy noted the enormous role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in expanding and developing economic cooperation between the regions of Russia and Azerbaijan.
