Russian Minister: "Azerbaijan-Russia relations have a strong economic ground"

Azerbaijan-Russia relations have a strong economic ground, Russian Minister of Economy Maksim Oreshkin said at the 18th meeting of Azerbaijan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, Report informs.

‘Mutual cooperation in political and humanitarian fields increases. These prove a strategic partnership. We are now working on the implementation of five Road Maps. During the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva’s visit to Russia, it was reached an agreement on the 6th Road Map’, the minister said.

He also noted that Russia-Azerbaijan business councils are at a high level: ‘Bilateral trade turnover increased by 25% in the nine months of 2019’.

Oreshkin said construction of a bridge over Samur River will be completed soon: ‘This will make a contribution to bilateral trade and visits. Along with this, joint ventures are also being constructed successfully. One of them – a pharmaceutical factory - is planned to be opened today’.
