Project supported by BBF ranks first at international forum in Tbilisi

Tbilisi. 26 October. REPORT.AZ/ Tbilisi hosted the ‘Welcome Challenge’ International Forum on Innovations for Hospitability and Tourism Industry.

Report informs that the event organized by the country's National Tourism Administration was attended by startup companies and investors. Individuals and legal entities representing the tourism sector shared their innovative ideas at the event, which consisted of various panels.

Azerbaijan's startup “EcoSolutions”, supported by the Baku Business Factory (BBF), was announced the winner of the contest held among the startuppers as part of the forum. The winner was awarded a prize of $10,000.

“EcoSolutions” is a project facilitating effective waste management in hotels.

The second place was held by Francesco Canzoniere with the “Convertion Rate Optimization” project for travel and hotel websites ($5,000) and the third place was claimed by Sandra Chalagashvili’s travel search platform “Tripify” ($3,000).

BBF was established in May 2015. The main purpose of the company is to support the young people with perspective business ideas who can contribute to the economic and social development of the country and create conditions for the faster implementation and sustainability of these projects.
