Peter Michalko: Azerbaijan developed human capital thanks to strong cooperation

Azerbaijan has developed human capital as a result of strong cooperation with the European Union and the World Bank, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Peter Michalko, said in his speech at the presentation of the World Bank's newly developed Human Capital Review for Azerbaijan, Report informs.

According to him, the European Union supported this project: "Through this project, we can find an answer to the question of how the future will develop."

The ambassador emphasized that human capital is important in terms of changing people's lives: "Development in this area leads to social progress for everyone. Human capital means health, skills, knowledge, experiences, and habits. Human capital is fundamental, and the best investment a country can make is an investment in human capital. Therefore, the European Union supports this field with the World Bank and other partners."

"When human capital develops in science, education, management and other directions, it serves social welfare and equality," the ambassador said.
