Nearly 65 Kazakh companies intend to establish business in Karabakh

A favorable business environment has been created in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Mammadov said at the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Council held in Baku.

"The fact that more than 15,000 companies with foreign capital have been registered in our country, including more than two hundred companies with Kazakh capital (in the fields of industry, construction, trade, agriculture, transport, and services) testify to this," Mammadov said.

"In particular, I would like to mention the possibility of implementing business projects in liberated territories. The Karabakh region has rich potential in various fields, including tourism, agriculture, and energy. To date, our Agency has received more than 1,100 applications from foreign companies wishing to establish business in this region. It is gratifying that among them, about 65 applications are submitted by companies from Kazakhstan," Mammadov said.
