Most Azerbaijani companies willing to enter German market

A survey conducted by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) among representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine showed that most companies want to enter the German market, Report informs referring to AHK.

According to the document, 89 percent of agricultural companies and 92 percent of travel companies intend to enter the German market or expand their presence in this market in the future.

Companies prioritize visits of representatives and participation in trade fairs to find suitable business partners.

Providing professional training according to German standards is seen as a possible success factor for most companies.

The report of the chamber also highlighted the main problems faced by the founders of companies.

"It is obvious that men and women have an equal opportunity to start a company from a legal point of view, and 75 percent of those surveyed also confirmed this," reads the report.

Lack of funding, poor infrastructure, bureaucracy, and lack of skills in this area are the biggest challenges for both male and female founders. Despite this, 88 percent of respondents still believe it is necessary to improve the rules regarding women’s entrepreneurship, the report says.
