Minister of Economy meets with EU delegation

Baku. 1 November. REPORT.AZ/ Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev has today met with Luc Devin, Deputy Chief of European and Central Asian Department at the European External Action Service (EEAS), Ministry of Economy told Report.

Minister Shahin Mustafayev stressed that Azerbaijan-EU relations are developing. According to him, Azerbaijan and EU are successfully cooperating in different fields, including energy. EU is one of main foreign trade partners of Azerbaijan. The share of EU countries in Azerbaijan’s foreign trade made up 42% in 2017. More than 1,500 EU companies operate in Azerbaijan. However, Azerbaijan is interested in expansion of cooperation with EU.

Luc Devin, in turn, highly appreciated economic development in Azerbaijan, as well as works carried out for improvement of business activity in the country.

Views on new bilateral agreement between Azerbaijan and EU were exchanged, other issues of mutual interests were discussed at the meeting.
