Mikayil Jabbarov: We are interested in attracting investments from partner countries to Karabakh

"We are interested in attracting investments from partner countries for the reconstruction of Karabakh," Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the Azerbaijan Investment and Culture Summit, Report informs.

According to him, the 44-day war has changed the political and economic environment in the region and created peace in the Caucasus.

"Currently, reconstruction work is underway in Karabakh. Yesterday, we witnessed the opening ceremony of Fuzuli Airport with the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and a number of economic infrastructure projects were launched."

Jabbarov said that the Azerbaijani government is carrying out many activities to revive the region and return the population:

"The revival of Karabakh will be not only an indicator of Azerbaijan's political and economic strength but also the basis for lasting peace in the region. The restoration of Karabakh is of great economic importance. There are opportunities for regional integration.

"We are interested in attracting investments from partner countries for the reconstruction of Karabakh. Our government is investing heavily here, and companies from many countries are operating. We would like to see the entrepreneurs of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation among us in the restoration work. We believe that our cooperation in this area will be mutually beneficial.”
