Mikayil Jabbarov: New agreements to further expand Azerbaijani-Turkish ties

"Today, some agreements are expected to be signed between states and government agencies, which will further expand relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey," Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said in an interview with Real TV.

"As a result of these agreements, it is planned to simplify and automate the certification process of our products entering the Turkish market and Turkish products entering the Azerbaijani market. Also, as you know, the implementation of the preferential trade agreement between the two countries will begin on March 1 this year.

"We believe that this, in turn, will significantly contribute to the development of trade relations. The main topics of discussion at the Azerbaijan-Turkey business forum were transport and logistics, the digital economy, joint investment, and the possibility of implementing new projects in both countries, especially in agriculture and textiles," he noted.

"As you know, an extensive 'Business Forum' was held between Azerbaijani and Turkish businessmen yesterday with the participation of government officials and delegations, and several essential agreements in the economic sphere were signed as a result of preliminary negotiations and work carried out at this business forum. These cover a wide range of areas, including mining, textiles, and transport, implementing joint projects and investments in both countries.

"The friendly and fraternal relations and ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan have always existed and continue to grow. New projects to be implemented in the region as a result of the President's policy and our glorious Karabakh victory and cooperation projects of transport hubs in various formats - trilateral format, 3 + 3 formula - open wide opportunities for economic entities, companies, and businessmen," the minister said.
