Mikayil Jabbarov: Azerbaijan actively involved in strengthening ties with Turkic-speaking states

The Economic Summit of the Turkic Council is of great importance in terms of promoting equal and mutually profitable relations between the Turkic-speaking states with shared cultural values on a unilateral and multilateral basis, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said.

According to him, the Turkic-speaking countries define a general concept for the future in the 30th year of independence:

"I believe that the discussions will be helpful in terms of expanding economic ties between the Turkic-speaking countries, trade, transport, transit, logistics, investment, green and circular economy, green energy, measures to prevent climate change in the face of global challenges and trends and developing a partnership for the formation of human resources that meet the requirements of modern times."

The Minister noted that the relations between the Turkic-speaking countries based on mutual interests, political and economic partnership have recently entered a qualitatively new stage, expanding year by year:

"Our peoples' cultural and historical ties create favorable conditions for achieving such goals as the geographical proximity of our countries, the strengthening of our ties, the development of communication lines and transit opportunities, and the organization of logistics centers.

"Within the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, purposeful activities are carried out in the political, cultural, and economic spheres to strengthen the unity of our peoples. I want to emphasize the potential for expanding economic and trade relations within the Council, the importance of the establishment of relevant structures, including the Investment Fund of Turkic-speaking countries, Turkic Houses of Commerce, business forums, export missions. Azerbaijan also actively participates in strengthening partnership relations with Turkic-speaking countries and strives to implement joint initiatives," the minister said.
