Lithuanian companies interested in Port of Baku

Representatives of leading Lithuanian companies visited the Port of Baku to explore partnership opportunities, Report informs, citing Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC.

The delegation includes officials from companies operating in the fields of agriculture, food, and light industry. Chief of the Main Cargo Terminal of Baku Port Kamran Jalili acquainted the guests with the improved mechanisms of the port terminals connecting sea and land transport, as well as the current and future cargo handling capabilities of the port.

Vaidas Augustinavičius, an official of the delegation and adviser to the Lithuanian President, said that the goals of the Port of Baku are important for sustainable development initiatives, environmental protection, and contribution to the creation of a circular economy in the region.

Today in Baku, the Ministry of Economy and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) will jointly organize the Azerbaijan-Lithuania business forum. More than 20 Lithuanian companies will be represented at the event.
