Halal products play a special role in the development of sustainable production and consumption, Anar Yusifzada, head of the public-private partnership and capacity building department of the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium Businesses (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy, said at the Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum (AZHAB Forum).
He noted that the modern world is facing the problem of balancing production and consumption: "We live in an era where consumption exceeds production. Although production volumes are increasing today, many people suffer from hunger. Nevertheless, the level of consumption remains excessively high, leading to resource depletion. We must pay great attention to the efficient use of resources, as this is crucial for economic growth, environmental protection, and maintaining economic balance."
