Japan allocates grants for implementation of 7 projects in Azerbaijan

The Japanese Embassy in Azerbaijan has signed contracts for the implementation of 7 grant projects with a total amount of 1.061 million manats, Report informs.

The grant contracts were signed within the Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) project and will be implemented in Astara, Gazakh, Ujar, Agdash, Zagatala, Aghdam and Guba districts.

As part of this program, including the last signed contracts, to date, 275 grant agreements have been signed, the total amount of which exceeds 39.1 million manats.

Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada expressed hope that the implementation of the grant assistance will contribute to the development of healthcare, the provision of the required number of educational institutions, the improvement of living conditions and social well-being of the local population: “We plan to continue to provide assistance in various fields.”
