Jabbarov: Azerbaijan, Slovakia have higher cooperation potential

The potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia is broader, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said, Report informs.

Speaking at the Azerbaijan-Slovakia business forum in Baku, Jabbarov also referred to construction projects: "I am very glad that these are not the last construction projects carried out in the liberated territories with the participation of Slovak architects and construction companies. I believe the potential is broader and higher, and that is why I invite you to look at Azerbaijan not only as an independent jurisdiction, but also as a gateway to a wider region."

The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan's geographical position places it as a unique point connecting Central Asia and the South Caucasus: "Baku is not only the largest capital of the region but also its main hub. It represents the only major port on the western side of the Caspian Sea. For the important Central Asian region, Baku serves not only as the shortest but also as the most reliable connection point. This region is rich in energy resources and has growing economic power. In this sense, as a landlocked country, Azerbaijan highly values and understands the importance of connectivity for economic development. This includes not only transport connectivity but also being part of a larger market through the free trade regime existing between our countries."
