In January-February this year, Azerbaijan imported 946.44 tons of cheese worth $3.36 million.
According to the Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 3.6% more in value terms and 6.2% more in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 115.53 tons from Germany for $549,960, from Lithuania - 90.34 tons for $462,080, from Iran - 230.34 tons for $387,610, from Belarus - 64.11 tons for $323,800, from Turkey - 81.38 tons for $319,290.
Compared to the same period in 2021, supplies from Germany decreased by 39.5% and 30.6%, respectively, from Lithuania increased by 20.7% and 24.2%, from Iran - by 51.3% and 45.3%, from Belarus decreased by 0.1% and 5.2%, from Turkey - by 24.3% and 24.8%.
