International airlines head to Baku airport for emergency landing

Due to the temporary closure of airspace over Iran, several international airlines have requested an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Report informs citing the press service of the Airport that “Boeing 787” aircraft of LOT Polish Airlines, operating the Warsaw–Mumbai flight, successfully landed at Baku Airport at 21:47 local time.

For the same reason, the captain of the “Boeing 787” aircraft of Qatar Airways, flying from Moscow to Doha, requested an emergency landing at Baku airport. The aircraft landed successfully at 21:53.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport is capable of handling any type of aircraft, including large airliners like the Airbus A-380. The airport operates around the clock, promptly responding to to requests from airlines and providing all necessary services for the safe operation of flights.
