There are problems in financing the transition to a green economy from both the private sector and the state budget, Huseyn Huseynov, an official of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, stated at the 3rd Economic Cooperation Organization Think Tank Forum held in Baku themed "New Generation Economy: Challenges and Prospects," Report informs.
"Therefore, international cooperation is of great importance in this matter. The Azerbaijani government has also started taking proactive measures to stimulate the shift to a green economy. The five national priorities and the 2022-2026 socioeconomic development strategy implemented on its basis, as well as the targets set by the strategy, are of particular importance in determining the policy for the realization of green transformation in the medium and long term," Huseynov noted.
