Baku. 28 October. REPORT.AZ/ Passengers and cargoes on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway (BTQ) will be able to travel to London (UK).
Report informs, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev said during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Nihat Zeybekçi.
According to him, BTK is a historic project and Azerbaijan and Turkey both play an important role in this project.
"There is cooperation with Turkey in the field of investments. Azerbaijan's investments in Turkey are over $ 10 billion. There are more than 2,000 Azerbaijani companies in Turkey and over 3,000 Turkish companies in Azerbaijan. In the non-oil sector, Turkey is the first country to invest in Azerbaijan. The Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) operates in the oil sector of our country. TPAO managed to return $ 9 billion which were invested and also earned additional revenue of over $ 9 billion.
In total, Turkish companies have participated in 182 projects with capital investment of over $ 11 billion in Azerbaijan”, minister said.
