Economy Minister: Large state enterprises' dependence on budget in Azerbaijan decreases

A major part of the problem regarding large state enterprises' dependence on the budget has been resolved in Azerbaijan, said Mikayil Jabbarov, the Economy Minister of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Jabbarov made the remark at the “Tax Service – 25: Sustainable Development and Effective Transformation” forum held in Baku.

"As a result of reforms implemented in large state enterprises in recent years, their sustainability has increased. The enterprises have reduced their debt burden, which was once considered one of the fiscal threats and risks for us, become profitable, and their dependence on state budget allocations has decreased. The challenges we face today are in a positive direction," the minister noted.
