eBay, Ericsson and others: Several more companies impose sanctions against Russia

Several more companies have joined the sanctions measures against the Russian market, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov wrote in his Telegram channel, Report informs.

"The digital blockade of the Russian Federation continues. I'm talking about technology companies and their sanctions against Russia," he said.

Thus, Ericsson stops its activities in Russia for an indefinite period. At the end of February, the company suspended all deliveries to customers in Russia. Ericsson employees in Russia will be placed on paid leave.

“As a result, Ericsson reserves SEK 0.9 billion in the first quarter of 2022 for asset depreciation and other exceptional expenses. Staff layoffs are not included,” Fedorov said.

In addition, eBay Inc. stopped shipping to Russia. The US company, which provides services in the areas of online auctions and online stores, has suspended the delivery of goods to Russian buyers.

New and existing business in Russia was also stopped by Celonis, founded in Germany. The company has already raised $250,000 for humanitarian organizations and also supports refugees.

JetBrains s.r.o. also ceased operations in Russia.

"An international company that evaluates development tools for Java, Kotlin, C#, F#, C++, Ruby, Python, PHP, JavaScript and many others has suspended sales, research and development in Russia indefinitely. The stoppage of sales also applies to the Belarusian market", aid the Ukrainian minister.

In addition, the Finnish aerospace company ICEYE no longer provides satellite imagery or information to either Russia or other sanctioned countries/organizations.
