As of August 8, 2024, 3,706 Pakistani companies were registered in Azerbaijan, with 3,304 of them being active, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli said at the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Business Forum held in Baku, Report informs.
"Pakistani companies have started to play an important role in the economy of Azerbaijan. In order to expand the economic cooperation of the two countries, we are assessing investment opportunities in different sectors with our Pakistani colleagues. There are opportunities for joint cooperation in areas with investment potential, such as space industry and energy projects. We are exploring Pakistan's investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector and mining," Samad Bashirli said.
