Consul: Branch of Azerbaijan Trade House to be opened in Aktau

A branch of the Azerbaijan Trade House will be opened in Aktau, Kazakhstan, in the near future, Consul of Azerbaijan in Aktau Elmar Mammadov told Report.

According to Mammadov, Azerbaijani businessmen have a great interest in Aktau: "Some time ago, Azersun Holding built a logistics center here. This center is exempt from taxes.

"At present, more than 100 Azerbaijani companies operate here in various fields. The trade turnover between the two countries can be assessed positively. A branch of the Grandmart supermarket chain was recently opened in Aktau. It was met with great interest by the locals."

The consul added that a representative office of Azeravtomash OJSC is being built in Aktau.

Mammadov noted that Azerbaijani businessmen are mainly interested in trade:

"Import and sale of fruits and vegetables of our country or agricultural products from countries other than Azerbaijan is more attractive to our businessmen."
