Azerbaijan has an important place in the oil industry, Jeffrey Brian Straubel, co-founder of the US Tesla corporation, said on the 2nd day of the InMerge Innovation Summit in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that countries with an important place in the oil industry should take steps to reduce carbon emissions: “This is a key point for me, and reducing carbon emissions is possible thanks to technologies. We regularly see news about the reduction of emissions in the world media. However, if we look at the statistical indicators, we will see that the carbon emissions in the world are increasing every year, reaching a record level. I hope we will succeed in taking serious steps in this direction.”
