Buglance Becomes Finalist in “Startup Business of the Year” category in Gulf Capital SME Awards 2019

The Buglance project became a finalist in the “Startup Business of the Year” category in the Gulf Capital SME Awards 2019.

According to Report, the founder and CEO of Buglance, Togrul Samad also became a finalist in the “Entrepreneur of the Year” category.

Over 300 entrepreneurs and SME business leaders registered for the 7th edition of the awards resulting in 86 companies making the final shortlist across 16 categories. Each of these 86 companies will now proceed to the final stage of judging which comprises a presentation to an independent panel of more than 30 judges representing some of the most successful global and regional businesses, government stakeholders and influencers. 

Furthermore, the awards are independently audited by global advisory firm Grant Thornton to ensure the highest degrees of credibility for any awards program in the region. The awards are organized by MEED, in collaboration with founding partner Gulf Capital since its inception in 2012, to recognize the UAE’s SMEs, business leaders and entrepreneurs for innovation, growth and success.

The winners for the 16 categories will be announced at the gala awards ceremony taking place at the Ritz Carlton DIFC on September 15th 2019.

Buglance, which was included in the Top-ten startups among over 1,000 startups in early 2019, was accepted by the Techstars to the acceleration center and received $120,000 in investment. Buglance has raised $605,000 investment so far.
