BMW recalls nearly half a million vehicles over fire hazard

BMW recalls 430,000 third-generation cars in Germany due to the risk of fire.

According to Report, the company confirmed this in response to a request from the online publication Focus.

The high risk of inflammation has been known since 2017. Vehicles with a production date from July 2004 to June 2012 may have a short circuit, contact melt, or, in rare cases, ignition. These cases can be experienced by inactive, parked cars.

The cars will be sent to repair shops. The recall applies to models coded E90-E93.

BMW produces BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce cars, motorcycles, and engines. The company is headquartered in Munich.
