Beverage production rises by 72% in Azerbaijan

In January-July 2023, Azerbaijan produced 45.353 million decaliters of beverages, which is 72.5% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, the production of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan made up 4,791.1 million decaliters (21.5% more year-on-year), including 733,500 decaliters (9.4% more) of vodka, 150,500 decaliters (8.9 times more) of whiskey-cognac, 681,700 deciliters (60.7% more) of grape wines and 3,225.4 million deciliters (13.9% more) of beer.

For 7 months, 26,404.9 million decalitres (18.2% more) of soft drinks, and 14.157 million unsweetened drinks (40.7% more) were produced in the country.

As of August 1, 2023, the stocks of alcoholic beverages in the country amounted to 1,420.2 million decaliters, and the stocks of soft drinks was 922.5 million decaliters.
