The gross domestic product of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member countries in the first half of 2024 amounted to $900.4 billion or 1.7% of global GDP for the same period, said Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, Report informs.
"The economic growth of OTS countries during the reporting period was about 6%, which is twice the global rate of 3.1%. These figures highlight the development dynamics of our region and growing economic influence," Musayev said at the General Assembly of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Union Turkic States held in Baku.
He added that the total trade turnover of OTS countries in January-June amounted to $508.8 billion, equivalent to 3.2% of global trade turnover: "These figures reflect the growing economic integration of Turkic states and their significance in global economic processes."
