Azerbaijani Customs officers seize drugs worth AZN 26M

Employees of the General Customs Department for Southern Territories of the State Customs Committee (SCC) prevented an attempt to smuggle a drug weighing 218 kg 334 grams out of customs control.

A Scania truck carrying "liquid soaps and diapers" from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan was detained at the Bilasuvar customs post and brought under customs control.

The value of the heroin found is 26 million manats on the European black market.

An investigation is underway.
