Azerbaijani citizens increase purchase of housing in Turkey by 16%

In January-September this year, Azerbaijani citizens purchased 1,020 (15.5% more than 2020) apartments in Turkey, against 162 (11.5% more) in August, Report informs referring to the Turkish Statistical Institute.

37,948 apartments were sold to foreign nationals for the nine months in Turkey and 6,706 last month. This is respectively 25.4% and 43.4% more than a year ago.

In September, most of the apartments in Turkey were purchased by Iranian citizens. They bought 1,323 apartments last month and 5,923 in January-September.

Second are the Iraqi citizens, who bought 990 apartments in Turkey last month, and 5,631 in January-September.

In turn, they are followed by Russian citizens who purchased 540 apartments in Turkey in September, and 3,115 in nine months.
