Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan trade turnover grew by 41% in 2024

In 2024, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exceeded $252 million, reflecting a 41% increase from the previous year, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee.

Last year, Uzbekistan’s export to Azerbaijan stood at just over $211.7 million, a 1.6-fold rise, while its imports from Azerbaijan totaled $40.34 million, a decline of 14.4%.

Key export items from Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan included:

- 686.39 tons of other smoking tobacco (with or without tobacco substitutes) worth $20.5 million;

- 2,067 tons of other wires of refined copper worth $19.7 million;

- 3,723 car bodies worth $19.3 million;

- 3,681 spark-ignition internal combustion engines for land vehicles (with a cylinder capacity over 1,000 cubic centimeters) worth $14.3 million.

Major imports of Uzbekistan from Azerbaijan included:

- Nearly 15,900 tons of white sugar and pure chemical sucrose worth $13.3 million;

- 2,728 tons of unprocessed aluminum alloys worth $8 million;

- 2,389 tons of apples worth $2.2 million;

- 536.9 tons of shelled hazelnuts worth $1.26 million;

- 502.3 tons of non-aqueous paints and varnishes worth $1.07 million.
