Azerbaijan, US mull progress in clean energy

Azerbaijan and the US have discussed progress in clean energy, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Heather Evans, US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing for the International Trade Administration.

The sides emphasized the importance of expanding energy, trade, and business relations between the two countries.

Information was also provided about Azerbaijan's national priorities and green development goals within the framework of socio-economic development, work done on transitioning to green energy, implemented projects, and the potential for cooperation in this area was highlighted.

Additionally, the sides exchanged views on progress in clean energy and the positive impact of industrial strategies supporting sustainable development on climate action, partnership opportunities in this field, and the importance of the Green Growth Portal, developed in cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Harvard University's Growth Lab Center for International Development, in global cooperation for achieving sustainable development.
