Azerbaijan to present report on sustainable development goals

Azerbaijan will present the next report on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2024, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov said at the presentation of an investor map prepared for financing the SDGs, Report informs.

“Our country was the first in the region to submit to the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development three voluntary national reviews on the results of the implementation of the SDGs (2017, 2019 and 2021), which is a clear indicator of the importance attached by the government of Azerbaijan to the SDGs. Fulfillment of the commitments made on Agenda 2030, approved by the UN for 2016-2030, has become an important part of the state policy. State programs, strategies, action plans in the social, economic, environmental spheres are being adapted to the SDGs,” the deputy minister noted.
