The Document of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2021-2025 aims to increase the share of small and medium-sized enterprises in Azerbaijan's GDP to 35% by 2025, Head of Sustainable Development and Social Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy, Secretary of National Coordination Council on Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan Republic, Huseyn Huseynov, said at the meeting of the Joint Steering Committee on the implementation of the Framework document.
According to him, in order to achieve this goal, there is a need to increase the number of projects and expand the scope of supporting small and medium businesses: "Increasing the efforts of the UN agencies and the government in this direction is one of the expected main goals."
