Azerbaijan to implement joint project on standardization with Slovakia

Prospects of signing a Memorandum of Understanding were discussed between the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing (UNMS SR) for the implementation of joint projects in the fields of standardization, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment, as well as the exchange of experience in the direction of improving quality policy, Report informs the State Service.

The discussions were held during a bilateral meeting between the delegations led by the heads of the two institutions, Mammad Abbasbeyli and Pavol Pavlis, respectively, within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Slovakia business forum held in Baku today.

The possibility of implementing joint cooperation projects in the fields of standardization, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment and exchange of experience between institutions in the relevant field was discussed at the meeting.

Also, during the meeting, the steps taken in the direction of the development of quality infrastructure in both countries, the measures implemented for the realization of the goals set in the field were discussed. Especially the discussions were held on prospects of cooperation in the direction of the development of the metrological service field and the possibilities of mutual exchange of experience.

The work carried out in the direction of the development of quality infrastructure in Azerbaijan, the importance of the Quality Infrastructure created for the purpose of electronicization of services in this field was emphasized.
