Work on creating the E-KOB House in Azerbaijan is nearing completion, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, said at the 1st International Caspian Innovation Forum organized by the Caspian Energy Club in Baku, Report informs.
"Like in rapidly developing countries, digitalization of the economy, building a digital economy, and implementation of innovations are among the priorities for Azerbaijan. In this regard, innovative measures in e-commerce, e-management, e-payment, cybersecurity, e-signature, digital solutions, and other areas, which are the main components of the digital economy, boost opportunities for new development prospects in our country, development of innovative business ecosystem, and promotion of the use of the domestically created products and services by both private and public sectors," Mammadov emphasized.
According to Mammadov, KOBIA is also working to improve the business environment, increase the effectiveness of the regulatory system, and ensure targeted support measures and barrier-free, convenient access for entrepreneurs: "I would like to note that work on creating an electronic system - E-KOB House portal, which will coordinate entrepreneurs' work with government agencies and other entrepreneurs, and combine services provided to entrepreneurs and other functions, is already nearing completion at the agency."
