During the first eight months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 2,334 tons of yogurt (+2.5%) worth $3.421 million (+20%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
A total of 1,613 tons (+2.2%) worth $2.256 million (+27.3%) were purchased from Russia, 514.67 tons (+18%) worth $71,820 (+18%) from Belarus, 93.2 tons (+31 times) worth $157,030 (+31.4 times) from Turkiye, 61.03 tons (-70%) worth $122,820 (-64.6%) from Kazakhstan, and 31.32 tons (-18.4 %) worth $75,980 (-18.3 %) from Latvia.
This year, supplies were made from Belgium for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011) - a total of 5.29 tons of yogurt worth $22,600 were imported from that country.
Last year, Russa accounted for 69.3% of the 3,408 tons of yogurt that Azerbaijan bought from abroad (from 13 countries).
