This is 68% less than the indicator of 2022 in volume, and 70% less in value.
Last year, Azerbaijan imported 7,223 tons of soybeans (-73%) from Ukraine worth $4.6 million (-74%), 5,500 tons (-55%) from Brazil worth $3.6 million (-60%), 45.2 tons (-72%) from Türkiye worth $101,600 (-66%), 23.9 tons (+2.2 times) from Austria worth $71,800 (+3 times), 0.6 tons from Belgium worth $3,000.
In 2023, Belgium resumed exports to Azerbaijan for the first time since 2011, the last year for which official foreign trade statistics are available.
Additionally, in 2022, Ukraine was the source of 65.2% of the 40,287 tons of soybeans imported into Azerbaijan from a total of eight countries.
