Azerbaijan starts purchasing kerosene from 3 countries

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 21,871 tons of kerosene fuel (excluding jet fuel), valued at $19.3 million, marking a year-on-year decline of 23% and 36%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan bought kerosene fuel from:

- Turkmenistan: 15,198 tons (-15%) worth $8.75 million (-29%);

- Belgium: 4,441 tons (-44%) worth $6.95 million (-45%);

- Singapore: 1,497 tons worth $2.1 million (resumed after 4 years and 10 months);

- Saudi Arabia: 489 tons worth $870,000;

- Türkiye: 157 tons (-94%) worth $256,300 (-95%).

In 2024, Azerbaijan supplied kerosene fuel from Denmark (0.06 tons worth $1,000), from Canada (0.02 tons worth $600) and Saudi Arabia for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
