Azerbaijan starts importing PVC from Bulgaria

In January-November of this year, Azerbaijan imported 22,905 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) worth $20.5 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistical Committee, this is 2.2% less than the indicator of the same period of last year in value terms and 50% more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 11,689 tons (+62%) of the product worth $9.9 million (-18%) from Russia, 7,000 tons (+6.6 times) worth $6.3 million (+3 times) from the US, 3,000 491 tons (-33%) worth $3.5 million (-29%) from Iran, 563 tons (+31.3%) worth $760,000 (-13%) from Türkiye, and 61 tons (-55%) worth $83,400 (-37%) from China.

Azerbaijan imported the product from Bulgaria (3 tons worth $9,000) for the first time in 12 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).

Some 53% of the 23,851 tons of PVC brought to Azerbaijan from 12 countries last year were purchased from Russia.
