In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan imported 781 tons of pepper worth $3.12 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee’s data.
This is 6% higher in value and 1% higher in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 296 tons (-14%) of pepper worth $1.32 million (-2%) from Vietnam, 175 tons (+4%) worth $798,000 (+2%) from Türkiye, 117 tons (+98%) worth $250,000 (+81%) from Uzbekistan, 73 tons (-1%) worth $172,000 (+5%) from India, and 41.2 tons (+2 times) worth $170,200 (+2 times) from Iran.
Last year, for the first time in the last 13 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade available for public use go back to 2011), supplies were procured from Japan (10 kg worth $50).
