During the first seven months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 400.14 tons of dried crust for $761,100, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, the dried bread crust imports of Azerbaijan increased by 44% more in value and 42.8% in quantity compared to the same period last year.
Azerbaijan imported 200.39 tons (+6.8%) of dried crust from Russia for $378,560 (29.1% more than a year ago), 76.26 tons (+36 %) from Turkiye for $209,960 (+30.2%), 32.13 tons (-6 %) from Ukraine for $72,630 (+25 %), 82.96 tons from Iran for $66,620 (no supply a year ago), 6.18 tons from the United Arab Emirates for $21,760.
This year, for the first time in the last 11 years, deliveries were made from the UAE and Norway. In the reported period, Azerbaijan imported 0.02 tons of dried crust from Norway for $320.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 51.38 tons (+3.4 times) of dried crust worth $141,700 (+3.7 times).
Azerbaijan exported 26.72 tons worth $78,100 to Moldova, 23.1 tons (+93%) to Kazakhstan for $60,510 (+88.5%) and 1.62 tons (-45.5%) to Georgia for $3,150 (-47%).
This year, for the first time in the last 11 years, Azerbaijan exported dried crust to Moldova.
