Azerbaijan awards contracts to Turkish companies over developing ore deposits

Azerbaijan has signed a number of agreements with Turkish companies for the exploration and exploitation of three ore deposits, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said in a Twitter post.

Report informs that they are Gashgachay, Elbaydash and Agduzdag deposits. Contracts were signed with Turkish companies Eti Bakır and Artvin Maden, which are part of Cengiz Holding.

“We believe that this significant step will play an important role in the launch of industrial production in the territories liberated from the occupation, as well as in the study and commissioning of deposits with high potential, which contributes to the acceleration of the economic integration of the region,” the minister wrote.
